Stagecoach State Park Redevelopment Master Plan | Oak Creek, Colorado

overview

Based on our previous experience, our team updated a new redevelopment planning process specifically for Stagecoach State Park. The 12-month planning process examines the fully developed, established park, identifies capital improvements, and organizes improvements into comprehensive 20-year implementation plans. Stagecoach State Park includes an 820-acre reservoir with opportunities for lake and river fishing, boating, hiking, and camping.

The Redevelopment Master Plan provides a detailed road map to reach CPW's long-term goals. The parks' capital needs are assessed and organized in a 20-year project list. Each project is given a discrete scope of work, conceptual design, and budget. Projects are then organized into a strategic phasing plan, providing a step-by-step guide for incremental progress. The plan is resilient and flexible, providing park administrators a toolbox to guide capital improvements, budgets, and fundraising.

This redevelopment plan has made a great impact. CPW is positioned for significantly greater progress toward their long-term goals.

The Stagecoach State Park Redevelopment Master Plan is part of the second round of a new planning process developed specifically for CPW. This plan was modeled after the pioneering Boyd Lake and Eleven Mile State Park Redevelopment Master Plans.
